About

THE MISSION OF IACAN is to provide a diverse resource network that will address the distinct cultural and psychosocial needs of people of South Asian descent affected by cancer. The network provides emotional, financial, physical and other forms of support to caregivers, cancer patients, survivors, and family members.

The Indian American Cancer Network (IACAN) https://iacannetwork.org/ supports individuals of South Asian decent affected by cancer. They organize cancer awareness seminars, provide psychosocial support to cancer patients and survivors and offer free mammograms to uninsured or underinsured women via collaboration with the Rose foundation. IACAN's efforts in the bone marrow donation program has made significant differences in the lives of many living in India and America. My grandmother died of breast cancer, and my dad is a two-time cancer survivor so this is of special significance to me.
