Founded by James N. Gamble of Procter & Gamble in 1924, City Gospel Mission helps the homeless and hurting break the cycle of poverty and despair…one life at a time. They engage, equip and empower those in need with the spiritual, emotional, mental and physical skills and resources to achieve long-term life transformation and self-sufficiency. They don’t know how COVID-19 will impact the community in the coming weeks, but as public places close where the homeless hang out during the day, like libraries, parks and public facilities, they anticipate more people needing meals and services. City Gospel Mission will not close their doors and they will continue to serve some of the most vulnerable in our city and be there for anyone who needs them. Necessary safety precautions are causing an unplanned strain on their budget and resources, and they urgently need our help to fill the gap, and the people they serve will need our help right now and in the coming months more than ever. We have created this fund with the hope of raising at least $10,000 using our own donations and VMware match. This fund can also be shared externally so that anyone can contribute, but only VMware employee donations will be matched. You can also help by registering your Kroger Plus Card. Each time you use your Plus Card when purchasing groceries, Kroger makes a donation to City Gospel Mission to help feed the hungry in our community. As a community foundation, SVCF is positioned to meet the ongoing needs of our local communities and take on unexpected challenges, including responding to the alarming spread of COVID-19. The mission of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes, and prevent underage drinking.

AppD Cares London - Sharing their Care at Christmas

Developing and promoting free vegetarian food distribution programs. Vegetarian nutritious meals is served with loving care to conquer hunger in our community and create harmony in the society. People from all walk of life are welcome to join without any discrimination. We are committed to make a difference in our community through food distribution efforts.

SUMMARY Under this project, 300 street & poor slum children will be given Nutrition food, Gift, New Dress, Lunch/Dinner, Toys & Happiness. The Program will be quite unique. For poor street & slum children all this is a dream. But will it be possible. A meal & gifts for 300 poor children life will become a golden memory. We will provide 3 times meal for next 1 year. CHALLENGE The future of poor children in India living along the street is in darkness. Due to a lack of education these children have stolen loot, have addictions, have gone the way of crime. Because alienating gets them from all over the place. These children need love, happiness, counselling and guidance. SOLUTION Under this project, the festival will provide street poor children's dinner, dress, toys and gifts. There will be cutting of cake, face painting, driving electric cars, sharing of gifts, singing and dancing. The kids will have Nutritional and delicious rice, meat, chicken and ice cream in their diet and a soft drink. Dinner and gifts for Street poor children life will become a golden memory. LONG-TERM IMPACT Indian Women and Child Welfare Trust project ''Provide Gift and food to poor children in India'' This exposure will enable kids relax, share gifts, share their experiences, and tell stories in a wonderful new environment outside home for one day with the Indian Women and Child Welfare Trust volunteers. Dinner and gifts for Street poor children will become a golden memory. Everything we do for these kids now will never be erased from their memories.

This Project Will provide a Sustainable Livelihood to 550 marginalized Girls by Vocational skill training of fashion designing, Sewing, Handicraft and Hand Bag making etc. Bank loan will be providing through the project in order to settle self employment unit whereby the marginalized Girls of Rural area will get Better and Golden future. Challenge: According to Indian Government's Report of 2011, the total population of 15 to 24 years old unemployed youth is 46.9 million. Due to unemployment most youth take unethical way for livelihood as prostitution, thievery, smuggling, addiction etc. Solution: The Project will Help the Marginalized, Deprived 550 Girls in providing Employment (or to be Self Employed) by Skill Development ( Sewing, Handicraft, Bag making training etc.) so that the problem of unemployment will end, and Poor Girls of the deprived community will get Sustainable Livelihoods, the Girls will Become self-conscious which will be Helpful to eradicate the social evils from the society.

The problem of orphan/ street children is acute due to urbanization and industrialization. Due to the Deaths of AIDS affected persons, Re-marriage of Widowed/ Divorce women, Absence of love and security, Unwanted pregnancy of Sexually exploited girls; these orphan & street children are left without care and support. These Orphan children are involved in rag picking; pick pocketing, begging & participating in anti social, criminal activities. Orphans were without care for food, education, shelter. We have identified orphans & street children and providing food, education, shelter for all orphan children in Orphanage. These children are going to School and providing home tuition, health check-up, medicines, cosmetics, one set of books & 4 sets of uniforms every year. This proposal covers 40 orphans & street children. Every child is being provided with nutritional diet, indoor & outdoor recreation and play facilities and training in crafts and hobbies.

Overcomers on the Move is a peer-led 501c3 nonprofit organization. Our mission is to combat human trafficking, addiction, and homelessness through peer-led supportive services. What sets us apart is that we stand in the gap, we specialize in peer support, and we meet people where they are. Presently our board consists of peers and professionals who advocate for vulnerable populations being affected by human trafficking, addiction, and homelessness. This summer, I've had an amazing experience volunteering my time with YCore, a non-profit that brings together young professionals with the common goal of advancing social impact in our local community. The program not only educates and equips us with skills to contribute to the social sector, it also gives us the hands-on experience in building out capacity with local non-profits. It was through YCore that I've been able to support Able Works, an organization that gives young mothers the life skills and financial education necessary to break free from cycles of poverty. Without YCore, I would not have had this opportunity to directly impact our community and because I want YCore to continue being able to help others, I'd like to raise $2,000 this summer to support them.
